Propaganda: Lions for Lambs

Lions_for_Lambs

I have never reviewed a moving propaganda before, but I thought since I watch it all, why not tap in.

Lions for Lambs is a very interesting attempt to rationalize going to war against two countries whose leaders decided to bite the hand that fed it.  First against Osama Bin Laden, then Saddam Hussein.  The only true words in the entire movie were, “Rome is burning”.

I don’t mind being called a “conspiracy theorist”, because, first, I concluded there was a conspiracy and second, theory is based on scientific observation and experiment.

You may not agree, but 9/11 was prepared for, allowed and cleanly executed.  The twin towers and the adjacent buildings were felled by demolition by the incumbent powers to incite Americans to war.  Doing so did not require a large group of people, just a small backroom fraternity.  Let’s call them the Fight Club.

This set up things for the attack of Afghanistan, followed by the really big lie:  The incessent repetition, and little more, of weapons of mass destruction paranoia until the country was psychotic enough to attack Iraq.  It wasn’t a war on terror.  It was a war based on terror.

So, six years later, we have Lions for Lambs.  With Meryl Streep doing her trademark crying jag, this time for all the American cannon fodder in the middle east.   The rationale of continuing the offensive?  World War against China whose allies are the Al Quaeda in Pakistan, the Iranians, North Korea.  The new Axis.  This is all sprinkled in amongst a call to raise an American civilian army little different than the pre-war force in Nazi Germany building the Autobahns and marching in formation with shovels.

Obama is currently changing the American legal system systematically to create a judicial system for future crime using the moniker “Rule of Law”.

America is preparing for war.  They are preparing to put a general into the next Republican Presidential seat or an actor called Tom Cruise.

Hey, young America, grab your shovels, the Long Marchers are on their way.

Psychosis: “Lead Us Not Into Temptation”

Nazi_propaganda

I have been thinking about the word “temptation” and exploring its definition.

Temptation’s root is the word “tempo”.  It is any repeating pattern that destroys our individuality and turns us into the mindless mob.  Whether it is “Zeig Heil” or “Yes We Can” or any religious repetition destroys the cycles of mental individuality and synchronizes us into a martial tempo.  It is collective psychosis, a mental virus, sensory cycling, the swastika.  In fact, martial, chanting and temptation are synonymous.  The Nazi Flag is the image of a revolutionary global white psychosis.

The challenge is not to think the same or to think different.  The challenge is to have the strength to think for yourself.  Your evolving personal melody not a static collective march.  That is the true formula for happiness and peace.  Anarchy and Libertarianism are good.  The leaders, drum beaters, of the herds fear it.

It’s Truue.

The World Doesn’t Need The United States

divorce

Canadians are the United States closest bad weather friend.  When Pearl Harbor was attacked Canada declared war on Japan before the United States did.  Right now it is time for a bad weather friend to give some harsh advice.

I have been talking with Americans for years.  I have worked in the United States for five years.  And I am certain of one thing.  The Amercian people have taken advantage of the entire world taking every resource there is and giving back next to nothing and now that they are in trouble they are declaring that the world needs them.  They are so afraid to face that fact that the world doesn’t need them, they are willing to make threats of violence even nuclear attack.  I am not talking about Barack Obama.  I am talking about the American on the street.  And that is the true American mentality.

Everywhere I went in the United States and dealt with Americans there was one predominant way of thought.  They did not consider themselves important for helping the world, they considered themselves important because they felt they had the biggest stick.  I never went anywhere in the world where a people were so arrogant as to talk lightly about attacking any nation that did not please them.  Americans have told me they could invade Canada or nuke other countries if they were allowed to suffer hardship.  That is state to state terrorism and you would never win the ground war my American friends.

The United States is like a fat unemployed husband whose wife works and cares for the home and when she attempts to stand up for her rights he beats her.  Now the husband has pissed away all their money on entertainment and when the wife declares she wants a divorce he beats her or threatens to beat her.  The Obama presidency is like the abusive husband’s attempt to be nice until he is able to return to his old ways.  Barack Obama is what little remains of the American conscience and he has only eight years endurance.

If the United States fails economically the world will go through the throws of having left an abusive marriage.  We will have to seek a new home.  We will have to get a new job.  We may even have to evade the abusive ex-husband’s attempts to find us.  But perhaps for ourselves and our children the hardship will be worth it.

Think about it America, we don’t need you.  And you can go down alone.  That is the worst case scenario and it can happen.

Perhaps the United States has to hit bottom before it will reform.

Jared Diamond: Societal Collapse

more about “Jared Diamond: System Collapse“, posted with vodpod

If you listen carefully to what Jared Diamond is saying in the TED video above, he is describing not a five part, but a six part power curve into a systemic singularity. This has been one of the core themes of discussion of this blog.  We all seem to be too close to our problems to see the commonality.  The interrogatives come into play here:

  1. Goals
  2. People
  3. Functions
  4. Forms
  5. Times
  6. Distances

Times and Distances being the basis on which the higher orders are built.

When we look at the recent economic “crisis” we see 300 trillion in currency circulating and roughly 1 trillion to 2 trillion shifting suddenly and unexpectedly.  We witnessed a systemic collapse, a singularity, a tipping point, a power curve, an exponential change, a phase transition or whatever label you want to call it.  These have been happening everywhere since Time and Distance began in different contexts and orders both in human and non-human systems.

What Jared Diamond and other alarmists are implying is that human society is now a system approaching its final singularity in this century on this planet.  We are implying that today we are experiencing a less than one percent crisis on a power curve into a singularity.  How many more iterations will the global system withstand?  Will humanity make the step into space successfully before we experience a global dark age?  How will the six or more factors in the power curve play out?

The truth to me appears to be that power curves whether they play out or not result in either a systemic climax or anti-climax followed by a systemic collapse.  Would it not be better if we experienced a systemic climax that led to us expanding into the solar system?

Systemic collapse seems to be the fashion of this generation.  Every generation looks with fascination at its own youth, maturition, reproduction and acceleration into mortality.  Some die early, some die late, but all die.  It is an irrevocable law of nature.  It is not about self-interest.  It is about what self-interest is defined as.

Space: Canada Put Them on the Moon, Too

It is a paradoxical but profoundly true and important principle of life that the most likely way to reach a goal is to be aiming not at that goal itself but at some more ambitious goal beyond it.
Arnold Toynbee

During my daily surfing experience I encountered some of the conspiracy theories revolving around the Apollo Project claiming that the whole project was a hoax. After going over several of these arguments it occurred to me that the core issue is not how we put a man on the moon, but why.

The purpose of the Apollo Project was to give the United States military supremacy in space. Kennedy and his advisors both scientific and military knew that this required only orbital supremacy, however to make this supremacy stick technologically they had to shoot higher. They had to get the next leg up on the Soviets–that meant the moon.

The race for the moon was participated in by both sides of the Cold War conflict. The United States suffered many setbacks in the public eye, especially the loss of the astronauts of Apollo 1. However, the losses faced by the Soviets was much greater with the explosion of an entire rocket on the pad that set them back so far as to put them out of the race.

Apollo Project conspiracy theories are an insult not only to the United States, but to Canada as well. The greatest minds in Canada at the time were recruited to work beside America’s best to engineer the accomplishment of this mammoth task. If you are calling Americans liars about Apollo, you are also calling Canada’s brightest and best liars. And if you think Canada a pushover, you should read the history of the battle between American President, John F. Kennedy, and Canada’s Prime Minister, John Diefenbaker, over Canada’s refusal to this day to put nuclear weapons on its soil.

Yes, we did put men on the moon. It was done for very pragmatic technological reasons, not simply as a propaganda stunt. It was a crucial step in winning the Cold War.
